Why does the North Pacific have no major bodies of sinking deep water?

I heard it was because either it has lowered salinities or that there is frequent warm weather there ir also that there's reduced gravity in the North Pacific. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you OK now somebody that can explain it without copying and pasting please

  1. Quote: "Deepwater circulation is influenced by the descent of surface water at zones of convergence of neighbouring water flows. In the Pacific Tropical Convergence, which coincides with the Equatorial Countercurrent, water sinks to a depth of about 300 feet (90 metres) before it spreads laterally. "
